Brittle star

Can any Cozumel regular recommend the best sites to possibly find a Brittle Star.

You can find lots of them on the C-53

I was just thinking the same thing.... My first trip there 3 years ago I did the wreck dive on the C-53 and there were some amazing brittle stars on the hull....

pretty much any site will have them if you look for them. they are what I would consider to be abundant.

Look at any sponge. I'm not sure but I think they eat the algae from them:

Thanks all, especially for the pics. My granddaughter (4) watched a brittle star being fed in an aquarium and was fascinated. She told me about it and wanted me too see one on my next dive trip. I think that I can pretty much assure her that I will at this point.

During my shore dives around the sting ray pen next to the blue angelI see quite a few.
They seem to be out in the late afternoon around 4pm.
The beauty of doing a shore dive is that you can stay and watch them as long as you want.
Also I use a hand held 5 inch magnifier to get a close up detailed look.
