It's a pity that the news article doesn't bother giving the charges. Another article mentions "violating Article 302 of the Greek Criminal Code, though the specific nature of the alleged violation has not yet been released." Google gives this: "Article 302 of the Greek Criminal Code pertains to the crime of "negligent homicide," meaning that it criminalizes causing the death of another person through negligence, punishable by imprisonment of at least three months; essentially, it covers situations where someone accidentally kills another person due to careless actions."

The 25-year-old was found in the sea in Vouliagmeni, south of Athens, Greece, where he had been diving on Saturday afternoon.

He reportedly lost consciousness while diving alongside instructors from a private company, the Coast Guard said.

Two people have since been arrested in connection with the man's death, including a 46-year-old diving instructor and his 37-year-old assistant.

Following the incident, an EKAV ambulance dashed the Brit to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place at Greece's Forensic and Toxicology Laboratory of the School of Medicine.

The Port Authority, which is conducting the preliminary investigation into the man's death, has also confiscated diving equipment distributed by the pair who were arrested.

I'll have to ask a friend who owns a shop near there what he might know. It is a popular area for diving for dive shops in the area.

Tourist deaths are taken rather seriously by the authorities as the country's economy is so dependent upon tourism.
