What is the number of people for a team, the most and the least that can make it a team in other words.
2 or 3. No more. No less.

I wish I was with you man. But this class came up after I had already committed and paid for my trip to Brockville. One of my buddies had Bob for his instructor. I just could not afford nor did I have the vacation time left to do both. Oh well, maybe next one. Will probably get adv nitrox and deco procedures in first though.

The adv nitrox and deco procedures would be a lot easier if you did DIR-f first.

Why ? * thinking of going stright to adv nitrox deco proc *

i think that was true for me

because your basic skills are down pat (more or less) and you don't have to struggle with those AND the ponys and stages and the task load

Enjoy. Bob is a great instructor. I took my first fundies with him. I just went back and took fundies again with Ed Hayes (a Sherwood trained instructor). Both classes were awsome.

Don't have some pre-conseved notion about the class. Bob is very laid back and will help you and answer questions and open your mind about how you dive... he is like the diving Yoda.

Everyone wants to go into class with the thought that maybe, just maybe, they will pass. You probably won't. Best you will do is provisional. If you have a bad attitude, then you may fail. They are there to teach you things. Go forth and work on the skills that you have learned and come back a better diver. Don't work with others before the class with the hope of passing once you go there... you would then miss the class.

All I can say is that it will all become clear when you get there.

Nice choice with the class.

If you met the poster you may think the he be stricken as well. *rim shot*

Just kiddin' folks, I like the kool aid man.... Doug isn't a bad dude either.

Damn, that one was a softball-Blitz, you hit it out of the park.

As for the kool-aid, it's Lynnes fault.:D

Doug, you were determined upon KoolAid when I met you. It was only what flavor that remained in question . . .

Well, I am registered for the Fundies class at Ducth Springs, PA on 9.29. The instructor is Bob Sherwood and there are 2 other people currently also signed for the class.

I am going to the class with an open mind, looking for the best possible guidance on how to become a good and safe diver.

I am really looking forward to get going with the class and would appreciate any advice ;)

Congratulations! I have heard nothing but good things about Bob Sherwood. My friend Tommy took the course last year, and I have to say that it made a HUGE difference in his diving. Notice I'm NOT saying on his thinking, but on his diving skills. I wanted to take the course next week, but I already have family comitments, so it'll have to wait till next June. I also wanted to say that in no way my friend Tommy insisted on my taking the course

*takes big swig of kool-aid*

but seeing how his skills improved tremendously was enough endorsement

*Ahhh*

If I'm not mistaken, Bob Sherwood brings gear for you to try, so you do not have to worry about that. In any case, better give him a call and find out. Have fun!!

I think it's a comical suggestion that the inductee is accepting everything without question or argument: "This is what we told you, so this is IT." :rofl3:

The implication is tied to the Jim Jones tragedy at which hundreds drank poisoned Kool-aid on command. Total loss was 914 counting The Rev. If there is another view, I'm not aware.

Actually, Jones didn't have the stones to endure poisoning like he made the rest of those poor souls go through. He shot himself or had someone else do it. Freak and Coward.
