hi,

I'm looking to buy the brigade, i dive in fairly warm water, 3 mm. full suit.
i usually use 16 or 18 lb.
with this kind of weight, do i realy need the trim pockets?
i have no experience with back inflate so i don't have a clue about weight balance. :idk:
what about the yellow thingies - nice 2 have or a must have?

I only dive warm and really like having rear trim pockets and put approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of my weight in them...keeps me a bit more balanced. This summer on Bonaire I used 8 pounds of weight, 2 pounds in each pocket.

The yellow thingies are nice to have if you take your weights out quite a bit (particularly to hand them up on a boat), or if you have small (1 pound) weights.

yes they are nice to have. they help sit you back a little in the water and keep you from going face first while floating. you could also lean back some and pull your knees up toward the chest some to help with this.

as for the yellow weight pockets, i dont find them nessacary, but you might. as the other poster said, if you need to hand your weights up on a boat they are very handy
