Oi ! me and my wife planning to buy a Pousade with a dive business connected in Brazil in the NE ( Abrolhas , Recife , Noronha ...or near Rio / Parati area . Any sugestions, help welcome. we are Brazilians living in Europe and want to go back to Brazil . Please write us privately . Hello, if I were you, I would invest in Recife, as the south-east is somewhat crowded and does not offer the same dive conditions.

As a benchmark example, check out my friend’s setup over there: www.aquaticos.com.br, so you will know what the market entry barriers are.

i agree with desmarins on Recife,,,,i believe there a 2-3 dive shops in the city now, one is pretty nice with equipt. and shop,,,,

there are many wrecks out in the front of the city and also a few sharks who seem to get the many surfers in the area.

I lived in Joa Pessoa for 6 years and there is only one dive shop there and a fishing store that has a few things,,,but not much.
 
I enjoyed diving Ilha Grande when I was there, and I'm guessing there's a lot of other nice dive sites that we didn't even get to. Beautiful place as well!
