After several phone calls with Tobin to go over my wing requirements (mostly to get me out of the mindset of needing a 35# plus wing) I ordered and received my BPW set up. Based on Tobin's advice I went with a SS long pattern with the Torus 26# wing. Last night I was able to do a pool dive with it for the first time. One word - AWESOME!!! :D

Overall I really love the way it felt or really the way I did not feel it. I do need to readjust the cam buckles and tighten them up and raise the tank a little to balance my trim better but that was all expected for the first dive. Given I was diving in a 2mm shorty I was slightly over weighted with the SS plate. I was easlily able to compenste with a couple of pounds of air in the wing. Now it is time to go for a real dive....

So another convert to the BPW setup. Also, major kudos to Tobin for his excellent advice. I am sure I drove him crazy with my repeated questions. Sorry Tobin!
 
One of the things I love about Tobin is that he just won't sell you something he doesn't think will work for what you want to do. It irritates the stink out of some people, who are used to just buying something from a vendor, no questions asked. But it means that, if you go through him, you have an extremely good chance of getting gear with which you will be pleased in the long run. It costs him some sales -- I respect that!
