xiSkiGuy:Thanks to everyone who has responded and PMed me with recommendations. I'd still like to hear from some others who have used harnesses other than the continuous webbing. Any TransPlate users, IQ Pack users or Matrix users out there? Any one use the OMS wings with the shoulder dump? Hammerhead plates?

No, my BC isn't nearly as rigid as a BP and STA. Nor does it trim horizontally as easlily. But I get your point. I want my cake and eat it, too.rjchandler:It really sounds like what you want is what you already got![]()
It's not the QR as much as the adjustable shoulder straps.rjchandler:If you want a buckle in your webbing you can put a weight belt buckle at the left shoulder or buy the harnes with a QR built in. I suppose these are easier to get out of but they sometimes open by themselves.
I don't always dive in neoprene. I use everything from a 7mm to nothing. . . .rjchandler:Padding stikes me as unnecessary if you are already wearing neoprene. I use a transpac without the padding. It was just a lot of clutter. And I never use the QRs on the shoulder straps.
The point is that it is not a strap. My current BC has a rigid handle in the plastic back "plate" (for lack of a better word). The Hammerhead plate has a handle molded into the plate. This seems a much more secure way to grip the BC or BP with a tank attached.rjchandler:You can pick the plate up by the harness why would you need a special strap?

I know, I was just teasing you...BabyDuck:bill was teasing me so i teased back. see how he put 'deluxe' in quotes? and, actually, it is nice, with the already-done grommet and the circular webbing protectors.
