PerroneFord:I use the Delrin thumbwheel on it's own. Works fine.
Divin'Hoosier:... is that because you're using an STA which must be fastened to the BP or are you using doubles?
alo100:How are you Perrone?
You mean you are not using dss plate (or are you?) and the Delrin thumbwheel still works fine... it looks likes that the setup will only fasten well with plates that has certain thickness, do you need to add anything extra in between? Thanks!
hoosier:It doesn't matter... BP has to be connected with the single or double tanks. The bolt length can be bothered... The bolt on the double used to be longer, so some divers prefer to cut about half inch of bolt on their double...
Divin'Hoosier:Nope. Not according to Tobin. The wing is held in place by two Elastomeric buttons (I think it's just a fancy type of rubber) that fit into holes on the backplace and keep it in place. With just that however, the wing can be pulled right off of the tank. Tobin actually has a video on the DSS website of how easy it is to remove the wing from the tank for cleaning and storage. The tank then presses against the built in tank stabilizer and the wing held in place against the BP by the pressure exerted by the cam bands. Check out their website. No extra hardware needed and none provided.
From the research I've done it appears to work quite well. We'll find out at the GLWC M&G on 4/28-30 when I actually get it wet. Are you going to be able to make it out to Gilboa?
hoosier:Oh~~Jim... Sorry... I must neee more caffeine... I wasn't talking about DSS rig...
I mis-read your post.....
I am afraid not.... It is the busiest time in the academic field.....
