So I'm not sure if my hose is sized right or not.. seems like it's either a bit long or just... IDK.. akward?

Obviously it'll be a bit different in the water when the BP/W isn't hanging quite as far, but even dropping to an 18" it still seems to have a lot of bulge over the shoulder. Is that normal or something I should see about fixing, and if it should be fixed, how exactly (even shorter hose?)?

Assuming your Bp and harness is set right: the inflator hose is a bit too long but manageable.
You should be able to touch the top of your plate with the 1st - 2nd digits of your fingers when you reach over your shoulder. You should start your wing centered on the plate until you find you want to "bolt" it higher or lower on the plate.

You'll also want to have 2 bicycle inner tubes loops over your corrugated BC hose and then slide the inflator hose in those loops to be secured to the corrugated hose as well.

It's too long.

That's what I was thinking, but this is an 18" hose on there and Halcyon sells the Eclipse system with a 22" hose, so I wasn't sure why they would do that if it's going to be too long with a hose 4 inches shorter than what they supply with it. Guess I'll try a 15" inflator hose next (or 12"?)..

I have two bungies right now (one at the d-ring, one adjustable above it that you can see in the "front-on" picture going over just the rubber inflator hose. I hadn't considered putting anything on just the hoses themselves though, sounds like it would tidy things up in the end.

Yup but in addition to the bungee you'll want inner tubes on the corrugated hose so you don't loop your arm between the inflator hose and corrugated hose.
The whole inflator assembly goes through the bungee loosely, the inflator hose itself routes along the corrugated hose, secured by the inner tubes.

I swapped to a 16in inflator hose for my Halcyon Eclipse and found it works for multiple other wings as long as the corrugated hose is the shorter 12in length.

It is too long, but wait a minute, why is your inflator hose coming from the right side? It should be on the left like the picture in post # 3.

Years ago I settled on 12-14" inflator hoses and never went back. I bring my left hand up to my collar bone and the hose in now in my hand, it doesn't dangle down and drag in the mud as longer inflator hoses will do.
