There's an off-season for diving? Uh... OK.

Unfortunately not everyone is blessed with year round warm water like you southerners......for us the water freezes over making the giant stride that much harder to perform

I was wondering if anyone has heard of or used this system. Looks interesting.

It looks interesting, but I'm not sure reducing the versatility of a conventional backplate is an improvement. It also looks like it would be hard to rig with a hogarthian harness.

Aside from that though, it looks sturdy, and well made.

Not me....:07:

But, most people have it. In addition, many retailers also recognize an off-season pretty well.;)

Air Cell
We use the very same manufacturer that makes many big name BCD's (such as OMS, DUI, OxyCheq, and Zeagle) to build our Air Cell. Our unique design specifies the best materials and workmanship available.
The only difference is that ours costs less, because there are no middlemen, and no retail price hike."

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! Thanks, That will teach me to read. :D

Ok you are the guy who belongs to the company, aren't you?

What is the price range of your products? I can't see any price tag....
It is the most iimportant factor to the consumers though.;)

Matt,

I don't view it as reducing the versitility of a plate, but rather adopting a design that is well suited for the specific task at hand.

When I dive in a single tank configuration I want a stainless steel plate for the added weight. I only own one stainless steel plate.

When I dive with doubles I want a lightweight plate, not stainless steel. The double tanks, regulators, and all of the other technical gear makes the rig more than heavy enough to get me to sink. I only own one lightweight plate.

For my single tank diving I see no downside from the flat plate. If I had a traditional shape stainless steel plate for my single tank diving I would still not use that plate for my double tank diving.

I am not trying to be critical of your point, I am trying to offer a different perspective on the problem.

P. S. Their is no difference in threading this plate than any other traditional shape plate I have seen. The upper and lower slots are on the same basic angles and in the same basic places as other plates.

I've been diving in your province since February ;)

He makes good stuff. If you are local you can pick it up from him,the small wing he sells is nice.....I got mine for 120$...BUT...(there is always a "but") its a small shop so you might have to wait. The harness is top notch, I'd have one if he would make me one.

It has to be cheaper since there are no bends.
To cut a plate is easier than to bend it perfectly, don't get me wrong for people that don't need a plate for doubles, and like the flat setup, it's good to have a discount for the features that they don't want or need.

Me, I don't use much my DR TPII (inherited it from my brother last xmas), I don't like the fact that no matter how low I strap the tank, I'll hit the 1st stage with my head every now and them, so the Jet Plate probably will have the same effect to me.

I like the "extra" clearance that the bend in my SS Plate and the STA gives to the 1st stage, that way, no matter how I tilt my head backwards, I'll never hit the 1st satage with my head.

You need to start higher off the surface of the H2O to achieve proper penetration :D
