bought 30CF PONY tank NOT exactly what was described ??

Personally, I would have preferred the one on the right, as advertised, with the natural finish rather than the one on the left with the brushed finish. I almost bought it myself specifically for the finish.

$15 for a Hydro I want to go where you go for Hydros. You should offer a service for other board members : ) They are quite a bit higher around here.

Seeing as your in MN check with All Safe for hydros. What do you consider quite a bit higher?
Last bunch I had done I "think" I might of paid $25.00 per If you make it up to Mpls from time to time you can drop off your tank at there location on Washington Ave. near downtown.

Description of what I was suppose to get :
"Luxfer 30cf Aluminum tank, no paint with Stainless Steel Stage Strap. Your choice of valve: Thermo or OMS both din and come with yoke insert. 1st Hydro was 94' last Hydro and VIP was 08/2009."
Description of what I got :
I suspect newer tank made in 2005 with Hydro DUE in 12/2010 (only has the one Hydro date on it) the VIP is due March 2009. I was interested in the tank forsale as it just passed Hydro figuring I have 5 years to go, but ended up with one that needs one in a year and who knows what will happen then. Also the Thermo valve DIN Yoke insert hex is starting to strip looks beat. I have not tried to take to take it out yet.
This cost me $120 shipped.

We get hydro's where I live for $12 if we take them direct. Of course doing it through the LDS cost more, but you have to consider they have to pay an employee to go to the hydro facility twice for drop off and pickup..... so understandable.

I thought he $120 was a tad high, but if it comes rigged and with a DIN valve, not as bad. (of course you have to consider if that's the way you want it rigged or not also.)

It's also a Luxfer 30 which is longer and slimmer than the others. Some people prefer the shape.

Should have called Mike at Dive Right In Scuba (check the sale forum) for a new Hyland which is a Luxfer clone. I've gotten two 40cf deco tanks and 2 sets of HP 100 doubles off him. Good prices and good guy to deal with.

The HyMark tanks are very good ones (I have 6 of them) but the 30 is the only one that is not really a clone of the Luxfer. The Luxfer 30 is 4.84" diameter and the HyMark (and Catalina) are 5.25 diameter.
