I have come across a OMS/uwatec bottom timer which appears to be from 2002 but still works. Would this be worth while for 75$? Should I consider something else?
I won't pay anything for that because it is near the end of its service life!!! According to Uwatec User Manual: the battery life is 13yrs if it is being used for about 50 dives per yr and much less so if used more often.

If you're patient you can score an uwatec 2g for the same price. Replaceable battery, resettable avg depth, stop watch, backlight. Good piece of kit.
