Captain Pat Breen, Instructor Jim Hicks and myself went out to a couple dive sites in the Boston Harbor, we started the day with a dive in the Kiowa, what a nice dive, the Viz had to be over 15', i dove the harbor before but yesterday was just incredible, the water was around 41 F, and our dive time was 31minutes Max depth of 48f, in this dive we were able to spot a small lobster as well as a huge sea reaven, this is my first time diving the Kiowa. Jim was leading the dive and he was making sure i was doing fine since i haven't use my dry suit that much, plus he wanted to show me the right way to use the wreck reel, so this dive was not only nice and fun, but i learned a few skills.
For our second dive we went to another site close to Hull to explore around and see if we could find something interesting down there, we found some anemones a nice size skate fish, some crabs not as many as last year, and i'm not sure i may be wrong, but i thing i spot a black Bass, again i'm not sure but that thing was gigantic, again Jim was helping me with my skills, we enter the water around 2:45pm for this second dive, the water was around 45 F, we dove for about 38 minutes max depth of 45f, by the time we went out it was nice and sunny, weather conditions were much better than i expected.
After that we head up back to the dock where we talked about the dive i got great feed back from Pat and Jim, later on Captain Jim Sullivan From the Boston Harbor Diving Co. Came by to say hello, filling us up about the progress in his new boat. We talk for a while and then when i just finished packing my gear and i was getting ready to just hang out with the guys the boss showed up to pick me up, so i went home early, but well dinner was getting cold.
Thank you Pat, Jim H. And Jim S. it was very nice to see you i hope we can get together when i comeback from my trip.
