I'm looking for sizing from folks that have used Socks (not hardsole boots) in their jets, anyone have additional data for me to update that part of the chart? Also how did you like socks in Jets, did you miss the additional foot support?

Thanks
Tim

I have used socks in my jets, way to hard on the ol dogs, I need the extra support I get with hard sole.

Im trying to buy Jet Fins right now online and they tell me with a 9-91/2 shoe size wearing a 3-5 mil booty I would take a large. Dont know if this is helpful or even relavent but there you have it :)

I didnt even mention my new dry suit cause I would just get more confused :censored:

Yeah the size 9 is a tough one because it depends on the sole/boot - it can go either L or XL - if you dive dry also you might like the XL and just get 7mil thick soled wet boots so you only need 1 pair of fins (Plus the XL blade is a lot larger than the L)

12-13 are in the same boat - too big for the XL and too small for the XXL (depending on the boots)

Thanks for the input though.

dgb40 - thanks for the input - I've tried them with thin soled boots and didn't like them, but I've had folks ask about socks lately and wanted to get some first-hand accounts.

Aloha, Tim

I didnt go with the rock boots. Loved them on land hated them for finning. So Im hoping the large will do the trick. What do you think?

To be honest, everyone who has responded with a shoe size of 9 has gone with either XL Jets or Turtles (In hardsoled 3-7mil neoprene boots that is) the exception is when you go with Rock boots, then they start moving into Turtles/XXL Jets at size 8 even.

Remember that Turtles are between the XL and XXL Jet in foot pocket size.

how do I know if they are talking about mens sizes or womans? *sigh* I reallyyyyy want these fins.

Nearly always mens sizes - unless it's an article of women's clothing specifically... I'd really recommend taking your boots into the LDS with you and try them on - if they are snug go up a size and find larger boots if necessary. Most LDS are only $99 max and you'll pay $70 after shipping even from Leisurepro. So it's not too much more for the convenience of getting the right size the first time - or come to Maui and try mine, I have one of every size  and several different size boots too - lol (I take a lot of kids/teens snorkeling and decided to get Jet fins to use as loaners - these things are built like tanks!)
