Maybe I'll save Bonne Terre for the time when I've just had enough of florida! :D :sharkattack:
By that time you will be ready to retire and move to FL.

If people could choose between Ft. Lauderdale, FL, or Bonne Terre Mine, what would you do?

Dean = Florida,
Uum, Ft.Lauderdale is OK to stay near but make sure to get to West Palm beach and dive, and northern Keys for the wrecks,
As Lauderdale by the sea is a cool shore dive site area but rooms are not cheap and to find parking to dive is hard to find as we would stay at the Windjammer and walk out the door and dive,Ft.Lauderdale has patch reefs and smaller sections of reefs but several man made wrecks do have some cool marine life.
One trick is stay off water like on Federal ave instead on A-1a,fly Airtran down or Spirit for you,car rentals are a stroke after all the taxes that they don't quote to you on line!

I am going down in a few weeks! Boynton Beach too!

Mark,
Dude you will never get sick of Boynton beach, its like Floridas best kept secret, and not sure if you know last fall the city bought the marina so the dive boats and shops and fishing boats dont get tossed out for condos!

One day (after I get sick of Boynton Beach), I'll have to go. :-)

dive safe,
Brad

OK ... how did a thread about Bonne Terre end up with half the posts discussing bikinis, boats and Florida?

It's a hijacking I tell you! Yes sirreeeee!!!

Sorry for the hi-jacking, dude! I guess I started it.
But your posts got me thinking and I've signed up for a trip to Bonne Terre next year (after Cayman and before Hawaii). >)

Brad -
Last March when I dove with Splashdown, Lynne was worried about it. Glad that got resolved in their favor!
And, of course, now that we're talking about it, it's not such a "secret", is it??? *L*
I might be moving out your way. (GF considering a job in Chicago.) Keep in touch.

Actually I think Dean started it. He's such an instigator of mischief. :D
