JUst got back from BTM last night. We managed 7 dives over the weekend. On Saturday there were 3 of us from our group and 4 others that were there as well. A pretty quiet weekend after the holidays for the mine. 1 guy was just there for Saturday and the the others were planing to stay for the weekend but left Saturday. So Sunday it was just the 3 of us.
After seeing how good our skills and competence was they got on the phone to Doug about adding the extra dives for us. The diving was great and we are looking at going back in February.
One of the reasons they down play bringing your own lights is to be able to track the divers on the tour. The safety divers behind you are constantly counting light stick that are attached to the tanks. Also so that the safety divers and guides are not being blinded having the lights shown in their eyes. There are places where you want your eyes to adjust to the ambient light.
It was really nice to just relax and dive. Even Cousteau had to start at trail 1 and work his way up.
