It was 85 Suunto degrees two weeks ago. If you plan to do many dives or a few very long dives a day you'll probably be happy with a full 3mil. It might also save the skin on you shins with some of the tricky entries. A lot of dead coral has was up on to the rocky entry areas in most places from Omar. Have fun Don.

It was 84 Dacor degrees Nov 9-16th, all dives, all sites, day & nite.

Most entries were tricky as usual, damage from TS Omar was noticable, but things looked pretty good overall considering.

84 Uwatec degrees as well Nov 1-16. Used my now 1mm shorty for 41 dives, and never got cold other than the shock jumping in after standing in the hot sun.

I was there from the 4th to the 12th and also saw water temps about 84 degrees at all times. Never used more than my skin, although there were people on the boat using 5-7 mm and hoods (?). The diving was VERY relaxing ( I ended up with 12/13 dives over 70 minutes)
Did about half the dives on Klein and enjoyed it but don't think it is worth going back for awhile. Much of the coral in the shallower areas was in bad shape, and there was lots of debris ( Tires and 55 gal drums) in the shallows.
Tried beach diving once but the entries were quite difficult and just not for me.
Stayed at Carib Inn and the dive masters were fine and let everyone dive there own profiles, but the boats were primitive and doing only 2 boat dives/day was wasteful.
Many great restaurants on the island, but with the big cruise ships starting to come in, the infrastructure will have to get better.
The one thing of note was that most, if not all, of the divers I met were over 50 and were considerate, friendly and knew how to handle themselves on a crowded boat.
As soon as I get my pictures in shape, I will post some.

Looking forward to me January trip to 'Statia and Saba with a bunch of friends.
Thanks to everyone for the input.

Donn :)

Last week the Citizen temps were 83-85F, most of us were diving shorts and t-shirts.

Boat dives on Klein and north entries in the morining. Southern shore entries were best done in the morning, the surf seemed to pickup in the afternoon. After a dive on the Wilma Hooker the surf had picked up to the point it was a difficult exit. I ended up with an Urchin to the knee, wishing I had some more protection!!! We were all bloodied on that exit......
