diverliz and anyone else defending bonaire hotels; go snorkel off of klein bonaire right opposite town. the part where it's not sand or coral but a small cliff. snorkel right into the shallow water, about a foot deep. all that algy didn't come from outer space, it came from toilets.
i don't expect you to feel about bonaire and it's waters like i do, but if you can look at that slimy algy and not be concerned about NOW, well.....

you mean you went to bonaire talk, environmental concerns and didn't find anything?
call ramon the stinapa manager. he wrote to the hotels in august 2008. he added up how much water they buy and the water they pump. BIG difference.

diverliz, you are a diver on bonaire for 17 years and you feel the need to defend the hotels that are killing the reef? what's going on in your head?
I wanted people to look online for themselves and not just depend on me.

Why are you attacking I do not understand. I offered to help you. I asked you to provide a list of hotels on the water that are dumping there wastewater into the sea direct and told you I am involved in a meeting where I may present this, yet you have not provided me with any backuip documentation.

I THINK ALL OTHERS READING THIS POST SHOULD CONSIDER THIS "RANT" OTHER MEMBERS HAVE ASKED FOR DOCUMENTATION AND PROOF IN NUMEROUS POSTS AND YOU HAVE PROVIDED NOTHING. I HAVE OFFERED MY HELP, AND YOU CONTINUE TO ATTACK ME.

YES THERE IS A PROBLEM, IT IS NOT AS BAD AS YOU PROJECT, BUT HAS A DEFINITE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING DEVISTATING.

ACCORDING TO MANY DIVE OPERATORS, THERE IS A TWICE A YEAR ALGAE BLOOM THAT HAPPENS ON BONAIRE/KLEIN BONAIRE. THIS IS ONE OF THEM.

YES THERE ARE SOLUTIONS IN THE WORKS, MAYBE NOT AS FAST AS YOU WOULD LIKE, BUT AS FAST AS WE POSSIBLY CAN.

IT IS "RANTS" LIKE THIS, THOSE THAT ATTACK, DO NOT PROVIDE BACKUP DOCUMENATION AND SUPPORT THAT DO THE CAUSE THE MOST HARM. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SH** TOGETHER.
