We are planning our trip to Bonaire next November for a week. We are then planning on going to another island - Dominca, Grenadines, Tobago, something for the second week. Does anybody have any information about flights (which airline) from Bonaire to other islands east of there. We are looking for suggestions on where to go for the second week.

Any suggestions?

Bonaire.. If you are going for the diving, go for 2 weeks.

You'll probably have to go through San Juan to get anywhere else. From there a lot of the Eastern Caribbean should be possible. Look at American/American Eagle flights.

Curacao. It's easy to get from Bonaire to Curacao. I doubt if there are direct flights from Bonaire to any other good diving destination. Some will say Aruba or San Juan but I don't consider those dive destinations.

I second Curacao if you want to do a second island, easy to get to from Bonaire with similar good diving and other things to see. I wouldn't try and combine Bonaire with other islands, they may look close on the map but as they say, you can't get there from there. Bonaire is not exactly the airline hub of the world, hard enough just to get there. The other islands you are talking about are not the easiest either, the combination, well...

I agree with Frank...dive Bonaire for 2 weeks. We were there for 10 days and didn't see lots of sites.

Why not Curacao? You can get a relatively cheap flight on Divi-Divi Air between Curacao and Bonaire.

You could fly into either Bonaire or Curacao on Continental and use Divi-Divi to hop to the other island and fly out of the other island on Continental.

The diving on Curacao is excellent and there is plenty to do after diving so you won't get bored.

Using this approach you get two islands rated as the best in the Caribbean and keep the costs to a minimum.
