My wife and I are going to Bonaire in January. I've not heard much on how the reefs fared after Hurricane Ivan brushed the island. Can anyone who has been there since the hurricane comment on the condition of the reefs? Thanks!!

I havewnt been there but have talked to a few people that have they say the reef is fine but a little damage around klein bonaire we are going in feb

We were there the end of September. The reefs were affected to some degree.

The main difference I saw from the previous year was how it seemed more sand was piled up against some of the coral.

There are several threads about Ivan's impact, if you do a little searching you can read more.
