Does anyone have any first hand info about going after bonefish on your own. Used a guide a couple of years ago.......was not impressed. We fished south in flats adjacant to salt pondds but he said you had to have a guide to fish there ( could have been bs) Ran into a guy at the airport and he said he fished on the other side and did well, but we only had a minute to talk in line.

Any help would be appreciated............

Capt. Chris from Piscatur takes folks bonefishing. I have seen men fishing in the flats at Cargill near the lighthouse in the past but recently I have noticed Cargill has new signs posted prohibiting a few subjects including bonefishing. I have gone bonefishing in Lac Bay and highly recommend you try it there. No guide needed. PM me if you wish to know more.

I have clients who bonefish in Antigua. They are die hards about this sport. Follow my www.antiguabliss.com to read more.

PA, I'll be in Bonaire Oct 3 through 11 and would be interested in splitting the cost of a guide. None of the people I'll be travelling with have any interest in fishing and I'm unsure of what to bring to venture out on my own.
dvrliz1, any info you may have would be greatly appreciated.
Andrew.

I'll be there the 24th-31st..........sorry. I plan to bring either an 8 or 9wt flyrod and an assortment of traditional bonefish flies i.e. crazy charlie, crab and shrimp patterns. Good luck...........be sure to post when you return, maybe provide a few tips? Thanks
