Bonaire 3/7-3/14/09

Hi everyone...I have just returned from Bonaire and LOVED it...I became certified OW back in 10/07 and my (18) yo daughter decided she wanted to join so she did the pool classes and we both decided to treat ourselves to Bonaire...where she did her OW and we both did our AOW...we both have been bitten by the ABC bug...lol We are hoping to return in August of this year and stay 2 weeks instead of the one...Buddies here we come...It's amazing how being in the BIG ocean brought us closer together.

What you are feeling is know by most of us as PBD...Post Bonaire Depression, a very common illness aquired on the island and there is no cure. Some relief can be had by drinking Amstels while looking at trip photos....planning return trips helps some in the beginning but makes it much worse as the travel date approches.

How long is it until July anyway?? ...I need an Amstel.

Glad you loved it. It is a unique and wonderful shore diving experience. You'll have to share your favorite sites; I had a special affection for Oil Slick Leap.

Hey there !! Welcome to the board!!!

Be sure to check out the ABC Island section for tips and what not.

We were there the same week as you!! And I met the greatest lady here on Scubaboard who was there the same time we were. Hooked up with her and her husband for a class, dives, and dinner. Even planning on visiting them this summer. I love Scubaboard for that kind of stuff.

I wish I could go back that soon.....
