Bonaire 1st week of May

Hello, I will be in Bonaire April 28 - May 5th staying at Den Leman. First time to the island and I can't wait to be there. I've signed up for some boat dives with Bonaire Dive & Adventure while my wife is doing the adventure package with them, kayaking, etc. But we have a truck too, and I want to check out some shore diving in addition to the house reef. My wife doesn't dive though she enjoys snorkeling. I understand several shore sites are good for both diving and snorkeling. Is there a way that folks find dive buddies there? I've done over 50 dives from Cozumel to Isle of Shoals in NH.

Hi Steve, same situation. I generally find a dive buddy before I leave the airport in Bonaire. It really is that simple. If that does not work out you surely will find one with the dive shop and your checkout dive. If all else fails, there's always the dive **** approach, get your gear and wait by one of the dive sites looking wanton, someone will show up and buddy with you. You'll see.
