That said ... it's not appropriate for solo divers to come here and make statements like that.

First rule of the long hose: Always clip off the long hose.

I'll second to this: It's in your (or your buddy's) mouth or it's clipped off (land, surface, stage, deco, OOG, RB80, whatever).
