Sometimes in Bonaire they are called "one-way dives" because you enter at one mooring and swim one-way to the next mooring down-current. You do not go to Bonaire to do high-current drift dives....
Yup, we have done those one way dives... Salt Pier to Jeannies Glory is cool. Also on Klein although I don't recall the sites. This was with Toucan Divers.

When people are boat diving, are they drift diving? I would assume especially on the east side or the south side of the west side.

East side, Yes. West side, usually No.

Most (maybe all) of the bigger boats are on a ball, you go "upstream" and ride back down to the boat. Boat dives with East Coast Diving are drift dives. The DM leads with a DSMB. I may be mistaken, but I don't think the resort/larger-operator boats generally go very far south of Hilma Hooker--folks? White Slave to Margate Bay is a recognized drift dive, assuming the current is conducive, and can be done from shore--it's about 700m. One observation, FWIW: a great pleasure of our Bonaire dives, whether boat or shore, is to go against the current on the outbound leg, and then explore the shallows after the half-tank turn. There's so much to see!

Dive Friends boats generally only dive the 8 north sites that are not accessible from shore and the sites off Klein Bonaire, nothing south. I don't know what any of the other boat operators do.

That's kinda the anti-Bonaire, I'm not aware of anyone doing drift dives on Bonaire. I'm sure if they express their desires to the crew on any of the boats and tip up front they can get what they want except for the drift, you cannot buy a current.

I had a decent current at several dive sites, with White Slave being the winner on that front. I would think following the bubbles would be easier with less current, but I'm not a boat captain.
