I posted this in the "North America" section as well but it bears posting here. It's not often today I am this impressed with an operation.

My wife and I just returned from a whirlwind tour of Florida that entailed 14 dives ranging from Key West, Looe Key, Key Largo, Crystal River and West Palm Beach. We just wanted to give a tip of the hat to Brent and Cary at Blue Water Divers in Key Largo. Of all the operators we went out with - they were by far our favorate.

Brent instructed my wife and I for our Deep, Wreck and Night dive portions of our advanced course. He was a real pleasure to work with. Both Brent and Cary were the kind of people that within 15 minutes of meeting them - you felt like you were with old friends.

Professional, safety minded people with great attitudes and a real desire to please the customer. Great boat and great equipment - everything in "new" shape. You can tell from thier equipment they take pride in what they do. Fresh cut pineapple and fruit juice was a nice touch.

These guys get the highest recommendations. They are a smaller operation that caters very nicely to thier customers. Anyone going to Key Largo in search of an operator owes it to themselves to check out Blue Water Divers - I guarentee you won't be disappointed.

Tell em Peter and Patty sent you!!

Thanks Brent and Cary - you guys were a great part of our trip - Cheers!!

I tell all my friends about these guys. They are a divers dive op. Maybe they don't have all the bells and whistles, but what they don't have they make up for in the way they treat you and allow you to dive. I get the feeling they are divers first and a dive op second. Blue Water divers are my first choice in Key Largo. I'm glad to see the word is finally getting out, these guys deserve all the attention they can get. :tree: Bob

I dove with these guys last April by accident. A friend had a coupon purchased on E-bay for Paradise Charters, Key Largo which was about to expire so I purchased it from him.

Time started to run out on me too so I called the shop and asked if it could be extended by 1 week. The said they didn't make any money from the type of coupon and to basically to use it or lose it.

Talk about stupid business practices. I was also trying to book for 2 more people and a second day for all 3 of us at the same time (at their full price).

When we arrived at Paradise Charter, we found out their boat was down and were shuffled over to Blue Water.

We were the only 3 on board, had the run of the boat and able to pick the sites. We also discovered that Blue Water's price was $10.00 less per person than Paradise.

The next morning's dive was back with Paradise. We show up at their boat slip expecting, as advertised, a six pack and find ourselves sharing the boat with 12 others. The Captain was surly, (( referred to him as Captain McGruff to the others within my group, which they tended to agree).

I would dive with Blue Water Divers again. I will not dive with Paradise.
