We're making a second trip to AC. Stayed at Mata Rocks before - had a great time with Amigos DM.

Thinking of staying at Blue Tang Inn this time because we want to be closer to town.

Are they close enough to ADM dive shop? Any comments on the Blue Tang Inn?

Thanks!

I have stayed at the Blue Tang Inn twice including a recent two week stay this past August. It'sat the north end of town between Chuck & Robbie's and Ecologic Divers. You're really only 5-10 mnutes way by foot from all of the shops at that end of town including Amigos. You will be close to two markets and lots of restaurants. They have a small pool, a great rooftop deck, free wifi and include a small breakfast. Overall, it's a great deal.

It's a nice place with surprisingly large rooms. Everyone I've sent there has loved it. About 5/6 mins walk from ADM.

Thanks for all the responses! Does anyone know if ADM picks you up at Blue Tang?

Yes they do, but unless you're carrying heavy gear (at the start and end of your week) it's more pleasant to walk down the beach.

Thanks Peter. I trust that they store it at the dive shop then? I can't remember how we did that at Mata Rocks...(I do recall that they picked us up at the pier there).

Yes, they rinse and store it for you, though you're expected to take small items such as mask/snorkel/computer/probably fins away with you each day. So bring a bag suitable for carrying those as well as stuff you want to keep dry. All dive centers here do the same.
