Does anyone have any experience with these critters? As a diver in Puget Sound we really dont have any sharks to speak of. However, I am planning a spearing trip out in the open ocean off the coast of Wa for Tuna. I am told that there is an abundance of Blue sharks out there. Are these aggressive sharks? Dangers? Suggestions? Advice?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I dive the Gulf and east coast of Florida so I haven't seen many blues. We have just about every other kind of shark you can think of though. Fo us the Bull is the only one we have to be wary of when spearfishing. I have been told by friends that have delt with the blues that they are smaller but alot more aggressive than anything we have and they tend to school up. I always carry a ppd when spearfishing just in case. Most of the time a good poke with my spear tip will drive them off but on occassion I have used the ppd.
