I decided to start a new thread just for this date. I would like to go to Blue Hole this weekend, but haven’t received any response to my query in the other thread from Colorado divers. So, anyone from Colorado (that are not participating in a class) going down to the Blue Hole this weekend?

Thanks, -Rick

I would love to go. I really need to get into the water. However, my daughter's birthday is Sunday. Can't be missing that! Ron said I could miss it, but I think he just misses me. :rofl3:

Another excellent scubaboard group at the Blue hole this weekend. Had a great time diving with RonFrank and Rick (Waterskier) as well as Justin (BigBubba) and the Castle Rock krew. Despite tons of OW and AOW groups conditions were decent, especially since most of the class groups were staying around the platforms. One dive was a little disconcerting due to all the beeping and alarms going off from peoples computers. Perch was great as well with 55 degree water temps and no silting issues on Saturday. Stella's compresor was going strong, she can fill a tank in under 10 min. So Dan (DDavies) when are we going to see you at the Hole again?

Tom,

I agree. I really enjoyed Perch Lake. I refreshing (pun intended) change from the Hole. And since we had the lake to ourselves, it was great. Tom took some of us around the lake 1.5 or 2 times on a tour. We could see the bottom from the dock, and the plane from our decent at the dock. No problems finding the car either.

Thanks to Ron and Tom, I think I am getting my buoyancy in the dry suit down to where I don't have to concentrate on just that.

It was fun diving with Justin, Trevor, and "Tino" from Castle Rock, and we got to chat a bit with James between his classes.

Overall, an excellent weekend!

PS: Tom, don't forget to send me an email so I can send you those Reg manuals.

And a good time was had by All!

BH, was as crowded as I've ever seen it, but maybe because everyone is now concentrated mostly in the main parking lot.

Despite the MOB, water clarity was very good on Saturday, and Friday evening.

Unfortunately Sunday was the day that a LOT of divers did their deep dive, and vis sucked. I saw just two divers at the bottom when we were in, and they left a HUGE trail of silt behind them, kicking the crap out of the bottom with every stroke! :shakehead:

Over all another great trip! Perch had about 30' of vis, so IOW's awesome! Diving with everyone was great, and thanks to Rick who brought down some great eats!

Have fun in Roatan Tom, and I expect to see photo's!

It would be cool if we could get a couple of these to live in the Blue Hole........
