Sorry was still trying to figure out "goniochromistic", does it have something to do with prodding and animal harassment which is somehow linked to laying on the bottom???????

Just having a little fun. :D Didn't know how to spell "iridescent" and my google search turned up:

Iridescence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridescence
Iridescence (also known as goniochromism) is generally known as the property of certain surfaces that appear to change color as the angle of view or the angle ...
Description • Etymology • Examples • See also

Hate to pass up an opportunity to aggravate, whether laying or lying on the bottom. :D

I learned about different techniques in lighting and shutter speed/aperture. The funny thing is I know all about them shooting above water, but it's one of those aha moments I say to myself "why didn't I think of that?" On day 3 I forced myself to shoot differently trying to get couple desired effects and achieved them.

I highly recommend the class!

Very nice. So, what were the big break-throughs? What did you learn that you didn't know before?

Funny how that works. With as cheap as electrons are these days, and with the immediate feedback available, experimenting makes a lot more sense than in the old, slow days. . . Congrats!

I've gotten lazy and nearly always just leave my shutter speed 1/200 - as fast as my camera will synch with the strobes (if I understand it correctly) and just fiddle with the aperture to get things close enough that the software can save the day. I guess I like more depth of field than the "artiste" types. :D

I highly recommend the class!

And it wasn't just the class, but also hanging with Phil, George, Chris, Guy and Tim. We had a really good time over all.

Bob, I may be wrong, but I think your cowfish is a little bit older. I can't remember the name, but it's not in the REEF ID book, but photographed on a pretty regular basis at BHB
