Hey Folks! Has anyone been out to BHB in the last few days? Any idea what visiblity looks like? My wife and I are planning to go tomorrow, but vis will be a limiting factor.

My dad and I had the opportunity to go back to the bridge again over presidents day weekend. We were booked on a few charters but they all got blown out, so we ended up doing 5 dives at the bridge over the course of the long weekend (high tide and low tide), including one guided by @Scuba_Jenny. Despite the canceled charters it was a really great trip, @Scuba_Jenny found a couple of dwarf frogfish, seahorses and a nudibranch, and even on our lower vis low tide dives we found some interesting stuff like skeleton shrimp, bobbit worms, and jack crevalles attacking some baitfish.

Thanks @Scuba_Jenny for a great dive!

Went to the bridge today, not for diving, still on hiatus maybe a week or so from now I will get back in the water. Nevertheless I took some surface images. The water was very sparkly today, always hard to tell visibility looking down into the water. But I would guess at least 30ft of visibility. The sea temp as reported by the lifeguards was 70F. Although we are still in the winter months that temp seems a little low for this time of year should be more like 72-74f. Lots of snorkelers in the water not so many divers, the park was not particulary crowded. Even in the sun, the northwest wind made things a little bit chilly today. One of those days where the water temp > air temp.

Edit: Meanwhile over on Singer Island the northwest wind had the ocean layed down pretty well, but there was a four foot ground swell with a long period. The beach that is directly east of Pura Vida's Shop was as crowded as I have seen it. Its a big wide beach, still plenty of room for everybody. Not like the old Coney Island pictures.

The day before yesterday, about a mile south of the bridge, the high tide vis was maybe 20ish feet & the temperature seemed to be warming up a bit. I'm surprised to see it listed as 70 degrees in the previous post from yesterday. When I jumped in wearing a 3/2 suit with the zipper open, I didn't get the cold shock that I would have expected from that temperature. Could the temperature be changing on a day to day basis due to upwellings???

I was there on Tuesday and got chilly. Water temp east side was 74-75°. Heard on Wednesday vis sucked, but cleared up on Thursday to the 30+ ft. range.
