Things seem to have cleared up ... dove on Sunday to a wonderful 30 ft plus viz.
It was cold but the upside was the ample parking available even for a noon tide.

Thought I'd share a couple of pics as this thread has gotten quiet lately. Happy New Year everyone!!
No humpback whales but ...

Nice viz in those shots, thanks for the report!!

Vis looked pretty darn good this morning south of the bridge

There has always been a parking lot. It is however more popular than ever. There are times I've arrived 3 hours prior to high tide just so I can get a parking spot. Those are the days that non divers are most likely to also want parking spots

It's been about 10 years since I dove the BHB. It has it's own parking lot now? Has it really gotten that busy?
I've been diving BHB for over 12 years and it has the same parking lot.

I vaguely remember the days before the park was redone after the string of hurricanes Francis and Jeanne. We used to park on the side of the road and take the steps down to the east side.
After the hurricanes, the park was closed for over a year to clean out all the sunken items. The two boats on the east side under the bridge were left because of the amount of life on them. The park got an upgrade with better parking, etc., and no more parking on the road/bridge.

Hurricane Jeanne - we got stock in Bahamas as the airport was closed one day before it hit the island , circa 2005'

If the parking lot is full, be careful about trying to park on the street. If you pick the wrong spot, the tow trucks come quickly.

And don't park in the boat parking.. you WILL be ticketed or towed!
