Today, four of us had a fantastic 107 min dive at the bridge. Super clear visibility, no current, few people, only a handful of divers (Tuesday morning—some of us had Rosh Hashanah off).

Highlights include:

Leopard Searobin (crawling along—not a great photo), barrel crabs (fighting), Peacock Flounder, Barred Cardinalfish, Mantis shrimp, Scamp, Sharptail Eel, Nurse shark, Red Grouper…and lots of Bleenies and Gobys. Can you help ID the dark one below?

Nice!!!! I've not dived the bridge in several months. It's been sooooo busy at the bridge the past few months. I'm hoping to make it there for a weekday dive next month.

If you mean the one in the upper left hand corner, its a seaweed blenny, the one in the upper right hand corner looks like a goldspot goby.

Thank you for your report. Enjoyed it very much.

Yes…I had avoided it for 6 months due to the crowds. Really pretty empty today. Probably my favorite BHB dive of all times. Very relaxing. The current was so mild we were still under/around the bridge an hour after high tide.

Where did you see the shark?

The nurse shark was tucked in a big pile of rocks just past where the Sheepshead hang out…a pile a little closer to the bridge.

"Sheepshead Rock" or "Sheapshead-ville" ... I know it well! :)

Thanks! Interesting. I thought they are too shy to stay so close to the beach.
