I have posted a bit about wanting to get the Ikelite housing for my Sony XR 520 but saw the video shot by one of the SB members using the Blue Fin housing. Other than the substantial difference in price, is anyone aware of the other differences between the two? Or what you are getting for the price difference?

I had an Amphibico without white balance. I moved up to the Bluefin and I am so happy I did. I have Salvo 50 watt lights for north east diving and Sunray 1000 lights for travel. The Light and Motion is the best housing I have used and compared to the other units I have seen I would recommend saving your money, you will not be sorry that you waited to get the best.

A 16x9 hi-resolution monitor back, interchangeable ports from 80', 90' to 110' wide angle - both sell the fathom HD 80' but beware it's only a 50% Zoom-thru port - above that it will get soft/lose focus. Ikelite also has interchangeable ports.

The Bluefing has an internal flip red filter, almost twice the depth rating, electronic controls, a flood alarm, an external microphone, a possible future upgrade path.

Most metal housings won't fog. Ikelite's won't either if kept out of the sun.

A fairer comparison would be the Ikelite vs. the Stingray.
