OK, I've seen it mentioned a few times. We didn't cover this in my OW class. What is the proper method for...........chumming at depth????

Read the thread mentioned above. It's worth it for pure entertainment value.

Dude, where do you get a depth gauge in fathoms?? I have been wanting one of those since I was keelhauled as a cabinboy..

The proper technique for chumming at 15 fathoms (90 feet or 27,69 meters) is the same as it is at 10 feet, hold onto the 2nd stage, keep it in our mouth, and let it rip right out thourgh the 2nd stage.

Your first reaction after chumming is to take a deep breath, better done with a regulator in the mouth. The regulator can handle it. After you are done, you may want to take the reg out of your mouth, swish it around, sip a bit of water and rinse your mouth, re-insert regulator, purge and off you go.

pasley forgot to mention that you need to get out of the way from all the fish that are now interested in your "chum".

Whatever you do..don't ask for the "warhammer" I yi yi!!

THERE'S a technique!

Mental conversion. It's the pirate in me. :crossbone :pirate1:

Yeah, the other threads were rather humorous....just not real instructive. Figured such a skill might be good to know.
