I wonder what happens to the blood pressure while diving?

I would anticipate that it increases since all soft tissue is compressed. But to what extent?

I would think there would be a transient increase caused by the venous reserve (normally kept in your legs by gravity) entering your main systemic circulation, this would be compensating for by peripheral blood vessels dilating, lowering of heart rate and increased urine production.

Any better offers out there?
