A monkey has wires from a switch embedded into the pleasure center of his brain (or so the story goes) and he repeatedly presses the button.

How many of you have a blister on your finger from trying to open up Scuba Board this past weekend (11/23-24/02) ?

I was talking to Dee on the phone. We both realized how much we don't get done because we are on scuba board so much! Don't get me wrong .. I love it and missed it ..but I did get laundry done, worked out on my treadmill, and started making things for Thanksgiving.
Anyone else do things they usually don't do?

Well...This was the first weekend that we stayed home in I don't know how long. I thought it was a good time to set up the kids new computer and maybe see what happens on the board over the weekend. Well I found out. There I was at home completely lost and out of my element with a new computer all wired to the net and no scubaboard. I considered the possibility of a conspiracy and thought about calling Genesis.

Beast and I were divemastering a class all weekend so I didn't get as much done as I probably would have. But I did get caught up on the laundry...even hung clothes in the closet! Without SB to hold my attention, I payed attention to the movie on TV and got alot of my photo files cataloged.

But let's not do this again! And I WILL start asking for folks private email addresses. I realized how many of you I had no way to contact except through the board!

Add me to the list of "didn't have Scuba Board, so got to work on the massive laundry pile" list.

Maybe it's some weird diver's character trait.... all my diving stuff gets soaked and rinsed and hung the minute I get home.... but those dirty jeans can stay there for weeks

I know i need professional help now, i find myself checking SB way too much the last 24hrs.

I had to resort to Diablo 2 online to occupy some time.

I ended up having to spend the weekend dealing with real life people... Not that it was a bad thing [well, aside of the hangovers], it was just a little different to spend all weekend dealing with flesh and blood!

Although I got to have a little true geek entertainment last night as I was able to take some time to search out the identities of certain scubaboard members that like to try and stay hidden! :)

Oh... and right when I first noticed the site was down, I setup a script to keep checking it for me and let me know when it came back up... I never did get to test if the notification would have worked! :)

I considered the possibility of a conspiracy and thought about calling Genesis.
He said it was GUE hackers working through price fixing dive manufacturers with the blessing of regulatory crazy politicians that brought down the board. He has since moved onto something else though...I think it was exploding Pintos, crop circles, or alien abductions.

I still can't figure out if he is Ralph Nader, Fox Mulder, or a weird Mad fold-in combo of the two...
