Hi,
My family and I got back from a trip to Bonaire a few weeks ago. On this trip we did our first ever blackwater dive with twilight dive and it was fantastic! From the moment we got in the water there was a barrage of small creatures, with tons of jellyfish, siphonohores, larval fish, shrimp, crabs and polychaete worms. There was also a school of mackerel swimming through the lights the entire dive looking for food.
My buddy and I had the boat to ourselves (there were supposed to be two others, but they had to cancel last minute). We were taken out on a small dinghy, and it was only about five minutes to get to the location. Our dive guide Martijn was very friendly (he even sent us an email after the dive with identifications of the critters we saw).
Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera, but I would highly recommend this dive for something completely different than the usual shore diving
