I use 7/64" dyneema, with loops spliced on each end so no knots, along with a 1" stainless o-ring and a large bolt snap.
I put one loop through the big bolt snap, thread it diagonally through the holes in the nose cone, then loop the stainless o-ring through the other end. No need to unscrew the handle.
I sized the dyneema line so it all clips together, then disconnect and I clip the bolt snap to my left chest D-ring
With 12 AH Dewalt batteries, in salt water, I took both metal nose plates out and my Blacktip is pretty much neutral buoyant
