check out the reccomended gear list they have.

Other than that, take extra t-shirts, sun lotion, ear plugs (for use while sleeping), flashlight for bunk to head trips in middle of night. Extra dive computer batteries.

I'm going on Blackbeard's in August. Any suggestions on gear, things to bring along, etc?

I haven't looked at their checklist for a long time. However, I remember that real good clothes hangers were good for attaching things to the lines on deck for drying, bring any extra dive gear that you may need (e.g., dive mask, straps, etc.) because they really don't have anything there, also bring a big mug for drinks that is clearly marked with your name.

Dive lights, and definitely a wide-brimmed hat! And surprisingly, some warm clothing--it can get chilly out there in the wind at night.

A shammy for above deck drying and one big towel for below. Use the big towel below deck as infrequently as you can as things don't dry too well during the trip.

Also look at one of the portable seat cushions with supports that make it like a chair.

Clothespins.....and use them. Someone lost a wetsuit over the side of our boat. Also an insulated coffee mug w/lid.

There's lots and lots of useful info right here on this very board about this subject. Do a search and you will see what I mean. It's all recommended reading. Blackbeard's is a great operation, enjoy your adventure! :)

I'm heading there in May I'll try to list everything I forgot to ensure you have a good trip - LOL- Darryl. -

PS-in the meantime I'm watching here to make mine the best it can be

I had the chapstick with sunscreen and was the only one in our group that didn't get fever blisters.....there's not a lot of shade on the boats. Another tip....we got the lockers further towards the bow and didn't have to worry about as much traffic as others. Several had their gear stepped/sat on but we were in the clear.

I brought an extra Stainless steel clip and a bottle of gatoraide. When I was done with the gatoraide. I put the clip on the Bottle with a Zip tie. That way, I could fill the bottle with water. And clip it off to the rail or to my BC on the back of the boat. To keep track of it and not loose it. The cups they give you to use were real small...

Bring Earplugs. I snore. Bad. And so do others... LOL.... I brought extras for others... One guy got mad and slept on deck...LOL... I offered him earplugs. But he said he couldn't use them. Funny thing is nobody else was bothered. So, I'm thinkin he was sensitive...

Go to the End of the World Bar. The older lady that owns it is a blast if you get her going....
