I am interested in information about the the number of dives available on a Blackbeards "week" trip.

The week actually seems a little short.

Is any diving done on Saturday, the first day?

How many dives are offered on Sunday - Wednesday, the full days.

How many on Thursday, the last full day? Do they stop early to travel to port?

I am trying to compare this to other options. When I travel to dive, I like to dive a lot.

Thanks

Might do a short dive on Saturday just to get buoyancy figured out. Depends on whether folks are late getting to the boat or had lost luggage you need to wait for.

Dives per day depends on the weather. I was there for 2 weeks in March and some days we did 5 dives and others we did 3. Choice of sites is also weather dependent, we did a lot of shallower stuff one week because it was blowing hard.

Still a great trip, heading back in a few months. March 3-9 I think.

Final dives on thursday we did two if I remember correctly. That way folks can fly out Friday mid-morning. And they have time to actually get you to port. It's a long crossing depending on where you start and how the wind is blowing. :)

Here is an odd question. I won a trip for a week on Blackbeard. I have never been on a liveaboard before. Do they offer Nitrox fills?

No nitrox, small compressor on the boat. I never got close to my NDL even being on the boat for two solid weeks. Galileo Sol set to MB0 doing 18-19 dives each week.

Awesome. Last question for me. Is it common to take a laptop to keep in the bunk area? I ask because I usually upload my computer logs to my laptop and add notes and such on there. Not a paper logbook. Also for getting pictures off the camera between dive days.

I had a laptop, iPad, and iPhone with me, no problems keeping them charged. Lots of folks were sharing pictures on laptops during the evenings. You might even be able to get wifi in your port night midway through he trip. I paid a few bucks to be able to taunt friends back home without racking up the phone data usage.
