I put together my Hollis Elite 2 harness last night and it came with one thick black rubber band type thing to hold the excess end of the crotch strap. I'd like to get two more for the waist strap. Does anyone know where to get this item? I can't seem to find it with the search terms I'm using.

Cut up an old MTB inner tube. 2.25" width works pretty well. Check you local bike shop, they will often throw out the tubes when they replace flats.

Ditto, bike tubes are really durable.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that, will do!

Cut a few spares and slide them onto your harness, then they are ready when one fails.

Buna-N is only moderately resistant to ozone, less so when stretched. The good news is one cast off inner tube = lots of tube loops.

After you cut the bungees off of your compressible wing, take on or two and tie it around the shoulder strap with a square knot. It will last forever. That way if one wasn't smart enough to use an inner tube, you won't have to take your straps apart to install
