Does this bcd have a plastic backplate behind the padding in addition to the plastic tank support? Or is it all padding and just a single plastic support at the back?

Hi anthony. Pardon my stupidity. Do these images answer your question? I think the answer is yes to a plastic backplate behind the padding. I can take more pics if it would help.

The second picture shows a strap coming out the side, probably a cummerband. Would it be possible to take the padding off and snap a few pics of that plate?
