I just finished a cruise on the grand class of Princess. With 2600 passengers and 1000 crew. That boat will be double.
It reminds me of that new airbus. I'm not sure what ports of call will be able to handle it.
But on the ports themselves. On my cruise over Christmas, we had 10 big boats in both Grand Caymans and Cozumel, including our boat and the Queen Mary II. When we were in Cozumel last, Carnival had 3 boats in port, Royal Carribean had 2 as well.
My guess is that some of these boats would be taken out of service as the new beast goes into service. But tendering would be a nightmare unless they could have 5-6 embarkcation points on a side.
