El Orans:
Don't know about Manilla but I've done my share of traffic weaving in Denver and England as well.

Manila's in a different league. Only place I've seen worse traffic & driving skills was Beijing. Sorry guys, but it's true!

You were born with the traffic dodging gene.
Tourists here need helmets. :hurt:

South americans must have learned from you. Only thing needs to work on the car is the horn.

i don't wear a helmet either.. but.. i probably will soon, although we have few cars on the road here they have no sense of cyclists.

sorry El.. you are an idiot in the Ben Roethlisburger vein for not wearing one. They are actually mandatory in Canada if you are on a road, and you will get fined for not wearing one

I thought India and some other southeast Asian countries were horrible, But China takes the cake especially down south. Scary stuff man...:shakehead

Halthron:
If you know anyone that rides a bike, please insist they wear a helmet.

I almost killed someone this afternoon because the idiot was weaving around on Roxas Blvd and swerved into my lane. He'll live (I took him to the hospital) but had he been wearing a helmet, the only serious damage would have been to my car. For lack of a couple of hundred pesos for a helmet, he now has a large hospital bill and an even larger scar on his head.
sucks bro... but be careful he doesn't try to bleed you for "support"... do you part to settle your end and end it there (and make sure its ended)...

a friend of mine nudged some idiot who didn't know how to cross a street and he tried to milk her (no pun intended) for continued "support" because he "couldn't walk" and go to his job (he was unemployed at the time)

good thing a neighbor and friend of ours was a city councilman and he "talked" the fool into giving up the "claim"

Hahaha... how many kneecaps were broken to convince this guy to drop his claim...???

jag's right here eric, just in case...stand your ground. it's a common MO for those small time crooks. roxas blvd is not a small street and the guy could have used the sidewalks for riding.

as for horns, try installing a bosch super tone... scares the hell out of those crazy bikers :eyebrow:

@larry: i would like to disagree with the pi driving skills but i can't. heck we could even challenge secret service drivers when it comes to swerving skills :D
