It was almost dead yesterday at Blue Hole! We showed up at 9am and Kevin's group was just arriving also.... no one else there! Shortly afterwards a group from CO arrived, then during the day some individuals showed up. That was it.... :D Some tourists showed up and we chatted with them a bit about BH, diving, etc. It as a very quiet day.

Sun was out shining early and no wind but by noon it began to cloud up and wind arrived. We geared up and got in water before anyone else and we were the only ones in the water for the whole dive. :yeahbaby: The bottom was covered with crawfish, and I do mean covered! Big ones, little ones, everywhere crawfish. Of course, Ron didn't bring along his camera and I didn't bring the video rig. Vis was also pretty good, you could see all around, every wall and top to bottom.

When we got out, Kevin's group of students got in the water. Shortly after that the other group of students got in, and Bert with one student joined them all.

We did another dive after all those people got out and we were the only divers in water again except for 3 individuals, two divers together and one tech guy diving doubles and running drills. Vis had dropped dramatically and I am blaming it all on the instructors and students. :rofl3: Just kidding guys!

After our dive, Doug finally rolled into the parking lot so we said Hi while we packed up for the drive home. It was a good day of diving at Blue Hole and really nice to be back in the water again. :D

Hi Robin,

Sorry I missed diving with you and Ron. Maybe if the weather warms up another notch we could do a weekend with a BBQ again. Anyway, the night dive was great, tons of crawdads. With a little (ok a lot) of imagination you could almost think lobster..... at least up close. The morning dive today was awesome, I was first in (before the students) and the visibility was wall to wall and floor to ceiling perfect. I finally came up after an hour, the clouds rolled in and it rained. Perfect timing.

Great pics, but I guess that is what we expect from you!

thanks Doug! Sorry we missed you but then again, considering the weather, I am glad we were there early Sat morning. Next time I am going to try again to drag the daughter and her BF over for some diving.

Yes, we will definitely do a BBQ over again this year, maybe in Apr or May. :D

Well I am completely bummed that we could not make it down. Seems like every time I show up, so does EVERYONE making for crowded conditions, and lower vis.

Glad everyone had a good time, and we will definitely be there in the next couple of months. We will also plan SOMETHING RMOish for the spring~summer time-frame.

yes, definitely another RMO party is in order. :D

I had planned to bring over some little finned friends to BH but then we got a call from Scott who said he pulled tons of fishing line out of the hole when he was over. Now we know what happened to all the goldfish. :crying2:
