This is an outfit out of Vancouver, BC, that touts encounters with basking sharks, whale sharks et al., not to be confused with Amos Nachoum's excellent "Big Animal Expeditions." In addition to trading off Amos' business, these pikers will not refund your deposit even if you notify them well in advance that you cannot make the trip. I have doubts also as to how often they can deliver on their promises.

I trust you read the Terms and Conditions before you booked? No-refund policies are pretty typical unfortunately, in the travel industry. Try getting a refund from Delta next time you decide you don't want to fly. Or any other airline, vacation destination, liveaboard... Almost all have a minimum of a 60 day out, no refund policy.

Before you go all Social-media Ninja on them, have you tried to negotiate, or substitute? How soon does the trip depart?

PS That sucks. May I ask the reason for the cancellation? If medical or something, do you have cancellation insurance that would cover it?
