Best way to remove catheter with hair entangled

Slow steady pressure... hopefully the natural oils in your skin will do their job and help out. Get past the few hairs it's grabbing and let er rip tater chip

Edit: I use Rochester wide band with its own adhesive so I don't ever need to glue up. Just trim, a prep wipe, and roll it on. It comes off just fine after only a couple hours or stays on for 13 hours (long dive days).

UPDATE

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The ride to the hotel was long, I turned in my rental car, then I cleaned up and laid out my gear to dry out in order to pack tomorrow. I wanted to get everything done so I could take my time and focus.

After browsing thru comments, I went to the gift shop and bought some fingernail polish remover for the acetone for the glue and a pair of scissors. While the acetone slightly burned, it did help dissolve some glue. I then took the scissors and very carefully started trimming hair and working away at the catheter ever so slowly. I poked it a few times with the scissors by accident, I tell ya I have a new found respect for Abraham who circumsised himself. Anyway I kept trimming, then got in the shower and let the water run over it, then trimmed away with the sciccors. It took just about an hour but I finally FREED WILLY!!!

So out of a GREAT weekend of diving, the most memorable part is very carefully removing a catheter!

THANKS again everyone, it's now time to decompress and order dinner!!!

I know this is late but I keep medical shears in my personal bag for assistance with removal when this happens. There is also some adhesive remove that helps,

Both are much better options than then old 'yank and pray' which I'm sure we've all resorted to at some point...

Attach some Caveline to it, but not yourself. The other end attach to a door. Then stand still and slam the door shut. I believe that was rhe ancient trick for milk teeth. Waxing is also made very fast, if you do it slowly it hurts.

For future referenced, WD40 is a lot easier than acetone.
Maybe some baby oil. Just don't be seen hauling it by the case into your hotel room.
