Can study at home with crewpack , actually it is recommended to do so before start of class. Elearning easier on instructor as it can eliminate academic presentations .

Good advice.Doesn't mean they won't have an additional charge for the classroom portion with book and video. Contact the operator first, understand the price structure, then spend your $$.
Not yet. It is on their "to do" list.A lot of people don't have DVD players anymore. Does PADI have a work around for that? Just wondering...
edit: Given your background and plans to dive all over the world, definitely go with a tech-rooted agency over PADI, or otherwise choose your instructors thoroughly. You'll want to get a tec instructor that will teach with wings and make sure you can get your trim and buoyancy right every time. That will matter a lot when diving in different waters.
