We dove with VIP but not Bas personally. The UV night dive is a nice "one and done" adventure. This was our first guided dive ever on Bonaire and we thought the VIP staff member was top notch. We wound up diving 18th Palm (which I never even understood how to get to until now, I'd always tried to get to it from the South side and wondered where the hell it was).
